At Champaca, we deeply care about the environment and the health and well-being of our customers. We are mindful of our production process and the impact our products can have on the world. One of our initiatives is a furniture range NUGLY (naturally ugly and beautiful) that celebrates the natural beauty of wood, showcasing its authentic form with knots and wormholes untouched. We believe in preserving the inherent charm of nature itself and loving things as they naturally are.
We are also proud to introduce Rockababy, a rocking chair brand that embodies the essence of comfort and nostalgia. Crafted using natural teak wood sourced from sustainable teak plantations, these chairs feature a simple oil finish, free from toxins and chemicals. Not only will you experience the same soothing comfort as when you were gently rocked to sleep by your parents, but you'll also feel the serene calmness and warmth that these chairs bring to your home.

A rocking chair designed to bring comfort to your everyday life
In today’s fast-moving world, we often forget to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of taking care of oneself or rewarding ourselves with that sense of comfort - like the calmness and warmth one feels when being rocked to sleep as a baby. That’s the inspiration behind Rockababy, a rocking chair designed to bring peace and calmness to your everyday life.
We collaborated with Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, a renowned furniture designer from Denmark, to craft an ergonomic rocking chair with superb lumbar support as well as Jim Thompson, the legendary silk brand from Thailand, to create the beautiful cushions made with a special type of performance fabric that’s water resistant and captivating in design.
As for the main material of Rockababy, we selected the finest teak wood sourced from sustainable teak plantations across Thailand for their unmatched quality, durability and beautiful natural characteristics. Champaca has been working closely with the Forestry Industry Organization for many decades as one of the first pioneers to push for sustainable teak usage in the wood industry.
We are committed to using teak that is responsibly and ethically sourced from sustainably managed forests and plantations that are fully accredited by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
The trees here are planted and looked after by the forestry department and experts who follow in the footsteps of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and his philosophy on agricultural and environmental conservation that helped turn what was once deforested lands and barren hills of Thailand into lush and abundant sustainable forests.
Preserving nature is our priority and bringing our customers closer to nature is our goal. That’s why we crafted Rockababy using natural teak wood with a simple oil finish that’s free from toxins and chemicals - so not only will you feel the same sense of comfort just as you would when you were a baby being rocked to sleep by your parents but you’ll also feel the calmness and warmth that the chair brings to your home.
